Why Acupuncture and TCM

Traditional Chinese Medicine has been practiced for thousands of years. It views the body as a whole and focuses on balancing the organ systems. Each treatment aims to treat the root cause of disease for each individual rather than taking a general approach to treating the disease itself.

Traditional Chinese Medicine can treat a broad range of conditions that include but are not limited to:

  • musculoskeletal issues
  • nerve pain
  • arthritis
  • migraines
  • digestion
  • stress
  • insomnia
  • pain
  • physical and emotional trauma
  • fertility
  • pregnancy
  • women’s health
  • hormone imbalances
  • fibromyalgia
  • strokes

The World Health Organization recognizes acupuncture as an effective form of treatment.   Most extended benefits, health plans, and ICBC also offer coverage for this modality.
